Before dropping my proposal at the front desk, I asked if I could insert it in an envelope with my name on it. I was directed to the mail room, but en route was encountered by a DART employee who said she'd take it. After I handed it to her, she commented brusquely that it was late, despite the fact that I had beaten by hours the end-of-afternoon deadline given me by Craig King's office.
