[UPDATE]
We recieved this email from Dave Morris of Reno’s the other day and thought we should share parts of it with everyone.
Hi. Dave Murry here from Reno’s. We have gone through our SUP hearing and have been granted an SUP for an 18 month period. I will be glad to share any information with any business owner who would like to discuss the matter. It was relatively painless for Reno’s. It was painful however for a Tattoo parlor east of Malcolm X that was trying to open and was voted against because they were a new business and the fact that Deep Ellum has 6 Tattoo parlors already did not help their case. The 325 unit apartment complex behind us is a 50mm project that the city is proud of and would like more of these type of investments and improvements.
Regards,
Dave Murry
