I mean com’mon we have free parking during working hours. They are being Nazi’s wanting $10 million dollars of outstanding tickets. They aren’t even look if the meters are out, they are looking at your plates. So watch out, and pay off your tickets. They Dallas County and Collin County are doing round ups as we speak. Wanting their green.

Deep Ellum Association and Deep Ellum Residents Council were able to get free meters during working hours during the reign of ex-Mayor Laura Miller. Originally we were expecting free meters 24-7, but end-up with just 7-6PM. It was a shock, for us to be short handed by the City of Dallas. They were making ridiculous amounts of money of the meter tickets than the quarter-feeder. The amount they received from coin-age was just a drop in the bucket compared to the cash flow from parket tickets in Downtown Dallas alone.

What Deep Ellum needs is free parking at night. To really help the night life thrive again. The meters maids and parking choices are a deterrent for people wanting to be in Deep Ellum. All major cities New York, Miami, Forth Worth, and etc… have free parking at night.
