The Deep Ellum Association is a nonprofit organization that brings together business owners, property owners, city officials and residents. It plans several events every year and is a major player in local neighborhood affairs.
Deep Ellum Enrichment Project
The Deep Ellum Enrichment Project is active in fighting the decay and decline of buildings and businesses in Deep Ellum. It’s contributions to the community include art walks, movie nights and street performances.
Deep Ellum Residents Council
The Deep Ellum Residents Council is a group designed to bring those that live in the neighborhood together with a common goal. It helps to find livings spaces, and organizes an event each year called Lofty Living in which the best spaces are put up for display.
Kettle Art (myspace)
Kettle Art is an artists run gallery in Deep Ellum area of Dallas. Since its inception in November of 2005 it has hosted at least two events a month. The overall concept of this gallery is to be ‘inclusive as opposed to exclusive’ in all matters of visual art.
Murray Street Coffee Shop
Located at the intersection of 3100 Main Street and Murray Street in the Deep Ellum/Exposition Park neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. The Scandinavia meets Mid-Century Modern interior attracts a mix of local artists, students and professionals looking for a comfortable place to mingle and unwind. Open weeknights ’til 9:00, Saturday ’til 6:00.
Pawn Gallery (myspace)
Pawn Gallery is both a great place to shop, and a great place to have a good time. Outstanding art is mixed with a terrific atmosphere and friendly people. Events range from high class art exhibits to nights of blasting 60’s pop and dancing until dawn.
The Sub Rosa
Not your standard new-oriented publication, The Sub Rosa focuses on the cultural side of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. The not-so-typical cultural side. We’re a visual, audio, literary magazine of sorts for those in the area who deserve, and lack proper attention, due to their refusal to conform or a natural inability to do so.
